Yacht joined fleet on 10 February 2020. Her previous name was "Inventor" and registered in Germany on the name of a highly qualified sailor gentleman. Sigfried, a true sea lover with a passion for aviation as well. He enjoyed the helm of Inventor as well as a Royal Huisman sailing yacht, a luxury Italian motor yacht, a Helicopter and a Cessna Sovereign corporate jet. After the property change we started some extra-ordinary and routine works including the set out of a new battery bank (Sonnenschein), new second generator (Mase), Wi-Fi and Hull seasonal anti-fouling. These major works took three months of preparation and manpower: We should thank those people who made all this possible: Gianpaolo and Michele KARIS, Marco BURIMAR, Tony PEZZONI, Mauro GON, Alberto and Matteo FANTUZ, Matteo PRIBAZ, Michele STABILE, Alberto FABRISSIN and the all staff of Hannibal Marina in Monfalcone.
After a proper pre-sailing activity and, on top of all, after the birth of Lia in Florence (yes, I am a grandpa now, easy at sailing, I know...) we sailed MSY Margherita from Monfalcone (ITA) to Roma (ITA) on last summer 2021. Taking Off on August the 2nd and Landing on August 28th a month trip that took us too the following destinations: Koper, Marina degli Estensi, Ancona, Vieste, Otranto, Crotone, Messina, Gaeta, Ponza and, eventually, Roma. 1.073 nautical miles with a pleasant stop over in the Pontinian Islands (Ponza and Palmarola)
Crew is Nil, Paolo and Mario. Motoring for the most of the times due to the summer high pressure on the Med sea but occasionally some exciting surfing with all the 4 sails open. She is an excellent sailor notwithstanding 55 tons of Heavy Metal. Leaning out is minimal and speed never less then 6 Kts. with an average cross wind of 10 to 15.
Here comes the Winter: regular maintenance (refrigerators, spare black water exhaust pump) done by Stefano FIORAVANTI; new awnings (Birgiu from India); set up of CCTV security system by myself and the additional installation of 1,16Wh solar panels bank that takes place with the professional help of Mirel BARCAN.
Now MSY Margherita is fully ready for next season in the Tyrrhenian sea: program for summer 2022 is Elba, Corse Island and Sardinia. We are ready to welcome you at your best convenience...
